We started CoEdit because we saw an opportunity to give the art world a shot in the arm. Commercial and editorial photography are home to some of the most talented, innovative and daring photographers in the world—but because of the nature of the industry, some of their finest work is seen only by editors and creative directors. We looked around at the brilliance being produced by our friends and colleagues and decided that it deserved a much wider audience. In many instances, this is the first time their work has been made available to the public.

Elevating the role of curation

Today, the world is awash in images. More photographs have been taken in the past twelve months than were created in the previous two centuries. Images have become, in a word, unedited. At CoEdit, we take curation—the act of identifying truly exceptional works and putting them in the proper context—seriously. Our in-house curation staff works closely with artists and buyers to plan collections in a smarter way.
