How did you decide that photography was your path?: I was raised by a journalist but initially entered college to study environmental ethics in the philosophy department. Oddly enough, I accidentally discovered photography through my love of writing and failure to understand symbolic logic.

Kendrick Brinson is a freelance documentary, commercial, and editorial photographer based in Los Angeles, CA. She worked full-time as a staff photographer for newspapers for over three years after receiving a journalism degree from the University of Georgia in 2005. In 2007, she co-founded LUCEO Images, a six-person photographic cooperative. During her five years with LUCEO, she worked on multimedia and photographic projects both alone and as part of a team. Her current interests include exploring the rap industry, aging, and the relationship between people and place. She is also half of the commercial conceptual portraiture and lifestyle photography team Brinson + Banks.
